Every year, BYUtv debuts a new show at the Televisions Critics Association. In 2019, they chose to feature their upcoming pre-teen hit, Dwight in Shining Armor, where the Middle Ages meet Middle America. The kits were given to attendees (200+) of the convention to publicize the upcoming premiere of Dwight. They were designed to be the ultimate Welcome to Woodside introduction (aka: the world of high school student Dwight and warrior princess Greta). They included a welcome not from Dwight, Woodside High newspaper and community calendar reporting strange things happening in Woodside, along with Hexela’s potion kit, a Woodside Woodchuck t-shirt, a mysterious map with clues to solve, a Dwight insignia pin, patches, and no Dwight in Shining Armor kit would be complete without a sword. All this was packaged in a leather and canvas, Dwight-branded backpack.
